We are an international freight-forwarding company located in Oak Brook. We are currently seeking a positive and reliable Accounting Assistant.
The optimal candidates for this position will possess the following:
- Strong organization skills with ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to details
- Data entry with high accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
- "Can do" attitude
- Must have legal work status
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Handle routine A/R and A/P transactions
- Review and pay monthly bills timely
- Perform data entry, filing and office duties
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies of invoices or accounts
- Prepare statements for customers and agents
- Communicate with vendors, customers, agents as needed
- Maintain/order office and kitchen supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Attend to occasional local errands
