Effimax Solar (
http://www.effimaxsolar.com/) is a student-run early stage startup at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
We have invented a cost-effective, ultrahigh throughput nanotechnology to increase the efficiency and drastically reduce the manufacturing cost of solar cells. It is seamlessly compatible with current solar cell manufacturing line, and works for all silicon based solar cells.

-Finalist of the Renewables category of MIT Clean Energy Prize, 2011
-Top Ten, Big Sell Competition, 2011
-Semi-finalist, MassChallenge 2011 (Ongoing)
Our current team consists of five students and recent alumni of U of I with diverse background.
We are looking for Chinese business partners to develop a profitable business in China. We hope our partner(s) have solid business background and strong communication skills. (Engineering or Law background is a plus)
The detailed requirements are as follows:
-Business model design (able to gain basic understanding of our core technology; it is a plus being familiar with photovoltaic or semiconductor industry)
-Market research (photovoltaic equipment supplier and solar cell manufacturer)
-Competitor identification and analysis (be able to compare our own product to right things and identify correct figures of merit)
- Pricing and marketing strategies
- Financial projection
-Elevator pitch and networking skills
Our first step is to write a Chinese business plan based on our English version, along with participating in the China Science Technology Business Plan Competition (
www.touchvc.con). Meanwhile, our team will actively contact, meet with Chinese investors via various channels.
