Who are we?We, GKOLED, are a rapidly expanding manufacturer and wholesaler of commercial LED light fixtures based in the Western suburbs of Chicago.
We’re currently seeking a full-time Sales Assistant who will report directly to the Sales Manager, working closely with our Sales Account Executives, as well as Operations and Accounting Teams.
Having been established in 2017, what was once a single person operation in a 6,000sqft building is now a team of over a dozen employees in the (Chicago) Bolingbrook, IL, office. Our approximately 25,000sqft headquarters is conveniently located right off of 53 and I55.
The growth we’ve experienced is not only due to our high-quality product we offer, but just as, if not more importantly, our industry-leading service. Although our entire team contributes to that service, the Sales Department in particular, play a vital direct role in our customers' experience. It’s critical to the business that we continue providing the highest-level service possible!
Due to the consistent and continuous influx of accounts acquired, expanding our Sales Team is a must in order to appropriately service our customers and keep growing.
The primary functions of Sales Assistant will be as follows:- Answering Inbound calls professionally and enthusiastically, routing them accordingly.
- Coordinating shipments both internally and with outside suppliers.
- Tracking orders and managing them from when they’re received through when they’re confirmed as delivered, ensuring customers receive their product on time.
- Communicating effectively with Sales Manager, Account Executives, or members of other departments to ensure assigned tasks such as creating and/or sending invoices or quotes, providing status updates, and/or data entries are taken care of.
- Resolving customer concerns immediately by learning and possessing professional level product knowledge, as well as an understanding of our standard operating procedures to handle varying situations appropriately.
- Tracking inventory levels and relaying when certain products have low inventory levels to avoid backorders and delays.
- Completing weekly partial physical audits to assist our Accounting and Warehouse teams keep inventory accurate. Resolving discrepancies when identified by investigating.
- Organizing files such as pick sheets and delivery forms for proper record keeping and easy future access for reference purposes.
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REMOTE OR HYBRID POSITION. WE DO NEED ALL EMPLOYEES ON-SITE**
Requirements:- Experience with Excel is a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Must be a problem solver who enjoys taking on a challenge.
- Amazing attention to detail.
- Highly organized and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to work independently but ask when questions when necessary.
- Desire to take initiative and have a lasting positive impact.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider a candidate with the right experience.
