Network System/IT Administrator - Full-time (Chicago) - Sponsor H1B Visa or Green Card

We are an established IT service and support organization focused on providing complete end to end IT solutions for businesses of all sizes. We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT professional to provide remote and on-site IT services to our clients. Prior employment with an IT services company or bank environment is highly desired.

Systems Administrator Responsibilities

• Participates in the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects; plans, designs and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems
  
  
• Supports and maintains network servers and appliances in Windows 2003/2008 environment; establishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security; performs daily server tape backups
  
  
• Manage and maintain Cisco network environment with multiple locations throughout T1 and VPN connections
  
  
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems and Microsoft Exchange server operation, maintenance and service
  
  
• Researches and evaluates new technologies related to computer networking
  
  
• Coordinates with vendors and clients for hardware/software purchases, product services and support
  
  
• Keeps current regarding new hardware/software products for system enhancements
  
  
• Coordinates and update network policies, procedures and standards and enforces security procedures
  
  
• Ensures that computer software and applications adhere to the organizational plan
  
  
• Configures networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes
  
  
• Ensures network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances
  
  
• Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
  
  
• Performs security audits and network recovery
  
  
• Manage and lead a small IT support team. Prepare and host weekly IT meeting with other departments to report, plan and issue resolving
  
  
  

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of progressively responsible, hands-on IT support and operations experience
  
  
• Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field or equivalent work experience
  
  
• Microsoft certifications, preferred
  
  
• Logical, organized work skills including the prioritization and timely resolution of multiple tasks involving simultaneous network and server problems
  
  
• Excellent project management skills
  
  
• Proficient knowledge of network routers, switches, and firewalls
  
  
• Solid understanding of data flow throughout the local area and wide area network systems
  
  
• Ability to work overtime when necessary
  
  
• Ability to interact effectively and courteously within all levels of the organization
