Make sure you use your Autofocus mark to pinpoint the area of interest like the eyes. Also make your aperture smaller, like 5.6 or up to 11, but still would allow a decent ISO level of 800 and below. Any iso higher than that would make the image very noisy unless you own some very expensive model. Just my 2 cents.
