I'm going to be frank with you.
If you are using your on camera flash as revealed by your shots of the little girl, just don't use it anymore. Use off camera flash instead. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the difference.
I love the shot of the young lady taken at the stairwell, the composition is very good.
